You’ll start seeing the new Bright Beginnings Community Preschool logo on our marketing materials, website and documents! It was designed by Brina Schenk to give Bright Beginnings a new fresh look. It’s colourful, playful, simple and clean – just like the preschool.

February’s Silent Auction : Learning to Crochet With Gareth Barlow
Our February Silent Auction is not an item but a fun evening for you and your friends. Our President of Bright Beginnings Preschool, Gareth Barlow, has kindly donated an evening of learning to crochet, combined with local craft beer tasting. Gareth can cater for up to four people and will provide beer (and wine, if needed!) along with all of the necessary equipment/supplies and tuition to learn the basics of crocheting. Sounds like to perfect way to spend an evening with some friends while this long winter drags out! Thank you Gareth for your donation!
You can bid at the preschool or put your bid on our Facebook page and we will try and keep it updated.
January’s Silent Auction Elk
The bidding has already begun and there’s only 8 more days to bid on this large burnt timber picture of an elk.
December At Bright Beginnings
It was a short month but we packed a lot into it! Lots of Santa time, Social Thinking, crafts, show and tell, running around and getting messy. Hello, 2018! We’re ready for you.
A huge shout out to Park Place Lodge for hosting a great fundraiser Elk Valley Festival Of Trees. The People’s Choice award went to Bright Beginnings Preschool – earning an additional $1200 for having the most voting tickets. Their total amount raised with the tree bid was $4800.50!!
Thank You – Fernie Lions Club
We have so much to be thankful for right now. I’d like to start by thanking the Fernie Lions Club for donating $500 towards improving gross motor skills at our preschool. We are going to be purchasing outdoor equipment, scooters and plasma cars thanks to this amazing donation.
Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
They meet at the Park Place Lodge every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, if you’re looking for a wonderful organization to be contribute to.
